This course is for students who have mastered Vermont’s 8^th grade standards, have good reading ability, have the interest and motivation in things mathematical and scientific and are willing to work in a rigorous college preparatory course.Students are introduced to the structure and properties of a mathematical system, including the basic operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of signed numbers, algebraic expressions, solutions of equations and inequalities and graphing.Algebra I is an entry-level course for college-bound students.
